Privacy Policy

Enhanced Color Swatches (the “App”) is provided by CLDT Consulting (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what data the App accesses, how we use it, where it is stored, and your rights. By installing the App, you agree to this policy.

1. Data we access and store

• Store information. When you install the App, we receive your store’s domain and an access token issued by Shopify through OAuth. These are used to authenticate and to call Shopify’s APIs on your behalf.
• Product and collection data. The App reads your products and collections (such as titles, handles, SKUs, tags, images, and variant information) to detect color groups and generate swatches. This data is read on demand.
• App configuration. We store the settings and automations you create (grouping rules, design settings, plan).
• No customer personal data. The App does not collect, store, or process your customers’ personal information. It operates on product-level data only.

2. How we use data

We use the data solely to provide the App’s functionality: detecting color groups, writing swatch data to your store’s product metafields, displaying swatches on your storefront, and managing your subscription. We do not use your data for advertising.

3. Where data is stored

App configuration and session data are stored in a PostgreSQL database on our infrastructure, protected by TLS encryption in transit. Swatch data is written back into your own Shopify store as product metafields.

4. Data sharing

We do not sell your data or share it for marketing. Data is exchanged only with:

• Shopify, to operate the App on its platform;
• our hosting and infrastructure provider, which stores the database on our behalf.

5. Data retention and deletion

When you uninstall the App, we delete the session and access tokens associated with your store. We also honor Shopify’s mandatory privacy webhooks (customers/data_request, customers/redact, shop/redact). Because the App does not store customer personal information, there is no customer data to return or erase.

6. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (for example under the GDPR or CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your data. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below.

7. Cookies

The embedded admin interface uses Shopify session tokens to authenticate. It does not use third-party tracking cookies.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above reflects the most recent version.
